Announcing DJHS SGA Members for 2012-2013   
Brenda Bennett, SGA sponsor for Duran South, was kind enough to hold elections for next year's SGA. These new SGA members will help with registration and the beginning of the new school year, beautifying hallways, helping teachers prepare their classroms, and serving as guides for their classmates at registration. Congratulations to this group of incoming 8th graders!
Check Mate! The 11th Annual Chess Tournament Winners Announced   
The winner of this year's chess tournament is J. Nicastro. The runner-up is K. Stahlhut, the only girl in the history of the tournament to make the final round! Also making the top four were Z. Gallups and R. Ortiz-Garza. Congratulations to all of you!
2011-2012 Top 25 Announced at Awards' Night   
The DJHS awards program was held at the CEPA theater on Thursday, May 17. Many students were recognized for their achievements during the school year. We are so proud of each and every student who was recognized for all of their hard work and dedication to their education and our school.
Freshmen SGA Members Selected

Artist Cafe   
The 2nd annual DJHS Artist Cafe will be held at the CEPA Theatre on Thursday, May 10, from 6:30-8 p.m. All DJHS students are encouraged to participate.
